I Do Not Want Students to Need Me Forever.
Hashini Herath is a music teacher, composer, producer, pianist and singer based in Kandy, Sri Lanka. Her teaching is built around one practical goal: students should gradually understand what they are doing without depending forever on a teacher's demonstration.
The method is Read -> Understand -> Play -> Create: a structured core curriculum, individual pacing and responsive sequencing for the student's current school, exam, piece or creative need.
Experience and verified positioning
Teaching foundations
Beginners and transfer students are guided through notation, rhythm, listening, coordination and confidence. The aim is to help each student understand what to practise and why, rather than rushing through pieces without foundations.
Supporting examination students
Examination preparation is planned around the student's chosen syllabus, current level and weak areas. Hashini supports ABRSM, LCM, Trinity and School Western Music, while keeping expectations realistic and avoiding unsupported guarantees.
Guiding creators
Pianists, keyboard players, songwriters and creative students can develop melody, harmony, form, arranging, DAW workflow and production skills. Hashini's composition and production work helps students connect musical ideas with practical finished projects.
