Piano and electronic keyboard lessons build notation, rhythm, technique, coordination, sight-reading, scales, expression and independent practice habits.
Students start from the foundations they actually understand. A child can join midway through a term, transfer from another teacher or already have grades while still needing missing foundations rebuilt carefully.

Piano lessons as a complete learning pathway
The lesson is planned around the student's current foundation, goal and format, not only around a subject name or monthly fee.
- Structured lessons online or in Kandy where suitable
- Individual progression within the Foundation-First Musicianship Method
- Practical training in notation reading, rhythm and timing, technique and coordination, sight-reading and expression
- Preparation support is available for ABRSM, London College of Music (LCM), Trinity College London and School Western Music where appropriate.

Teaching approach
Hashini uses the Foundation-First Musicianship Method: Read -> Understand -> Play -> Create. Students work through a structured core curriculum with individual pacing and responsive sequencing.
Why Hashini's approach is different
A group class does not mean group-paced learning. Eight students can be eight different learners, with individual attention inside a shared method.
What students and parents can expect
Parents can expect practice plans, weekly targets, annotated scores, backing tracks, videos, recordings, parent instructions, checklists and WhatsApp questions where useful.
Fee guidance
Group lessons are LKR 6,000/month for four 2-hour lessons. One-to-one lessons are LKR 24,000/month for four 2-hour private lessons. The suitable format is confirmed after reviewing the student's age, level, goals and schedule.

No. Your child starts from their actual level and foundation.

Yes. Group size is capped at eight so Hashini can guide individual students while retaining group-learning benefits.
How quickly will notation improve?
Students often begin reading notation within approximately 1-3 lessons, depending on starting level and practice. This is not a guarantee.
