Hashini Herath Music is forming a new female vocal group with the long-term goal of developing it into a professional recording and performing act.

Hashini Herath will personally be part of the group as a singer, songwriter and producer. This is intended for people who are serious about developing as artists, not a casual choir or temporary cover act.

Basic eligibility

This first step checks whether the project expectations match your situation before you spend time on the full application.

Are you an adult? *
This project is for adult female singers and rappers. Do you confirm you meet that eligibility? *
Are you able to regularly attend physical rehearsals in Mulgampola, Kandy approximately twice per week? *
Are you willing to make a serious professional commitment to the group? *
Are you willing to perform publicly? *
Are you willing to appear in official artist photos, videos, performance footage and music content? *
Are you willing to learn stage movement/choreography? *
Are you currently a member of another band or vocal group? *

This does not reject solo artists. Active group commitments are flagged for review.

The current intended direction is cinematic pop, with room for contemporary pop, R&B, soul, pop-rock, hip-hop, rap, orchestral/cinematic music, electronic production, ballads and contemporary crossover styles.

Who should apply

Exceptional vocalists, rappers and singer-rappers

Applicants do not need formal vocal qualifications, music examinations, professional experience, sight-reading ability or music-reading ability. Training is a positive background factor, but raw talent can still be considered.

Singers

The expected current level is roughly comparable to being genuinely capable of demanding songs such as "Chandelier" or "All By Myself", while choosing material that best shows your own ability.

Rappers

Rappers are reviewed for rhythm, timing, diction, articulation, flow, speed where appropriate, phrasing, musicality, confidence and lyrical delivery.

Group fit

The strongest individual performer is not automatically the right group member. Blend, chemistry, reliability and willingness to develop matter.

Selection process

Application to final selection

No algorithm accepts or rejects applicants. Shortlisting and final selection remain human-reviewed.

Application

Applicants submit the full application and a mandatory live/raw performance video.

Initial Review

Talent, suitability, commitment and the performance demonstration are reviewed.

Shortlist

Selected applicants are contacted. Not every applicant will receive an audition.

Live Audition in Kandy

Shortlisted performers attend an in-person audition focused on current ability and potential.

Trial / Group Evaluation

Finalists may attend rehearsals or group evaluation to assess blend, chemistry and teamwork.

Final Selection

Final members are selected by human review. The number of members is not predetermined.

Trial rehearsal stage

After auditions, finalists may attend one or more trial rehearsals to assess group blend, harmonies, chemistry, preparation, reliability, teamwork and whether voices complement each other.

Commercial terms

Selected members are expected to participate under a revenue-sharing structure for commercial group activities. Exact splits and formal terms have not yet been finalised and will be discussed before written agreements.
